Veronica is a retired Castle Freestyle athlete with many podiums, 4 Jr. Nationals and Alberta Winter Games to her credit after competing for 5 years in Moguls and Big Air competitions across Alberta and Canada, finishing with an Alberta Team Invite.
While studying at the University of Lethbridge, Veronica joins Castle Freestyle for her third year coaching and mentoring the next generation of freestyle skiers, the young Bumps and Jumps athletes. Veronicas likes: Big Pow Days, Food, Skiing those Bumps and Upbeat Music. Dislikes: Minus 30 days, Country music, not being able to ski because she has to go to class, falling in the rail park!
Castle Mountain has been Cam's home hill for almost 15 years!
Before coaching, Cam was a competitive freestyle athlete and member of the Castle Freestyle Team for four years, competing in mogul, slopestyle, and big mountain competitions across Alberta and Canada.
This is Cam's sixth year coaching and he is already a mentor for many Castle Mountain Freestyle Ski Club members. In addition, Cam recently completed his Business Degree and this year is excited to develop the program goals, objectives and design for this year's group of young athletes.
As an Air 3 certified coach, Cam makes excellent use of the Air Bag site, Big Air site and the amazing mogul course all Castle athletes utilize during winter training sessions.
JUMPS & BUMPS
Clayton is a former Freestyler who is excited to get into his second season of Coaching for Castle Freestyle. Clayton did a wonderful job last year with the youngest of our athletes and is often found walking through the lodge with at least two or three of them hanging off of him, having the time of their lives. Claytons focus is to ensure fun and proper ski form for all our little athletes.
Competitve Team Coach
Xavier is a former Southern Alberta Freestyle athlete. In his final year of mogul
competition, turned down a spot on the Alberta Mogul Team to study
Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge.
Xavier has been coaching for Castle Mountain Freestyle the past 4 seasons with jumps and bumps athletes. He has seen many of them improve tremendously over the past few years. When he is not on the ski hill you can find him trying different foods like chicken feet,
escargot, dinuguan and cow tongue.
I am looking forward to be working with young skiers and developing confidence in their abilities on the snow in the upcoming season.
