Born 2018 to 2007

Grassroots developmental program, which focuses on allowing athletes to learn the basic freestyle (FA) and freeride (IFSA) ski skills in a safe and fun environment.

Providing athletes with the opportunities to learn and develop all-around ski skills, which are necessary for navigating a mountain on their own.

The athlete will learn:

Terrain Analysis, Air Awareness & Natural Features, Mountain Safety

Jumping skills, simple tricks such as: grabs, twisters, spreads, 180s, 360s, etc.

They will spend time in the Terrain Park, learning how to make route selection in the park according to personal abilities and how to approach the boxes and the rails.

In the Moguls, they will learn what it means to pick a good line, how to effectively absorb the bumps as well as speed control.

For the older kids:

Now that the athlete has developed their basic skills it’s time to step it up a notch! Athletes will further develop: skiing skills (carve their skis, control speed and safely hit the jumps), learn more advanced air skills (i.e., switch take off, speed control, grabs, 360 spins), and continue to work in the terrain park (route selection, approach and exit).

At the end of the day, the goal is to ensure that each athlete goes home with a smile on their face and has learned a skill that will stay with them throughout their lives.

Athletes that wish to compete can do so at the club competition level or more.(this is solely based on coaches evaluation)

All participants in this program are required to purchase the 2026/2027 membership from Freestyle AB/ Canada

Lift Tickets/Passes are NOT included in the program fee.
