FUNdamentalzFUNdamentalz; is a Canadian Freestyle Ski grassroots developmental program. Focusing on allowing athletes to learn the basic freestyle ski skills in a safe and fun environment. Provides athletes with the opportunities to learn and develop all-around ski skills, which are necessary for navigating a mountain on their own.
The athlete will learn jumping skills and simple tricks such as: grabs, twisters, spreads, 180s, 360s, etc. They will spend time in The Terrain Park learning how to make route selection in the park, according to personal abilities, how to approach the boxes and the rails. In the Moguls, they will learn what it means to pick a good line, how to effectively absorb the bumps as well as speed control. When an athlete graduates from FUNdamentalz, they will be ready to enroll in the Freestylerz Program, the next stage in the Freestyle Progression. At the end of the day, the goal is to ensure that each athlete goes home with a smile on their face and has learned a skill that will stay with them throughout their lives.
